In Hittite times, this region of Cappadocia was called Evenez. The Hittites were the first civilization in history to systematically practice viticulture and winemaking, bringing wine to this region. As Cappadocia Sedef Winery, we continue the winemaking tradition we inherited from the Hittites thousands of years ago with boutique production in our modern facility.
By preserving the winemaking tradition of thousands of years, we produce the highest quality wines from the unique grape varieties grown in Cappadocia's unique lands and pass this ancient culture on to future generations.
